The User Management section deals with user privileges, inviting colleagues and details on the users you have on your company's LeanLinking account.
NOTE: This section does NOT cover how to invite a supplier's user. To invite a supplier, go here.
How do I invite my colleague to join me on LeanLinking?
- Go to the User Management page in the Admin module.
- Click the Invite User(s) button.
- Type or copy in the e-mail addresses of the colleagues you want to join you on LeanLinking. You can add multiple users at a time by clicking the Add User button.
- Select the User Type from the drop-down menu next to each new user. This dictates the general access level and privileges the new users will have. The User Type can be changed later if needed. See explanations of the three User Types further down.
- Click the Submit button. Each of the e-mail addresses will receive an e-mail invitation with a link to join you on LeanLinking. After the recipient has clicked the link and registered their user, the user will be visible on LeanLinking - not before.
How do I change settings and privileges on a User?
- Go to the User Management page in the Admin module.
- Click a User to open the Editing window.
- In this window you can:
- Change the User Type, which can be Light User, User or Admin User. See User Type descriptions below.
- Set User Locations like Regions, Sites and Teams. Regions, Sites and Teams are managed from the Location Settings Admin page - Learn more about it here.
- Set User Access (not available on Admin Users or Light Users) by assigning them to a User Access Setting. User Access Settings are managed from the User Access Settings Admin page - Learn more about it here.
- Deactivate a User by selecting one or more Users by checking the boxes in the left-most column, then clicking the Change User Access button. Inactive Users can no longer access the LeanLinking solution, unless activated again.
User Type Descriptions
On LeanLinking there are three types of users, each explained below:
Admin User:
An Admin User is the highest privilege level on a LeanLinking account. Admin Users can access all parts of your company account and all data stored, including all files marked personal and compliance registrations only shared with selected users. Admin Users also have access to the Admin module where company settings are set, suppliers are added/removed/invited, users are added/inactivated and more.
User:
A User has access to all the modules on LeanLinking except the Admin area. A User can access all data across all suppliers unless specific data has been hidden for the user via settings on the solution. Specific Users can be limited to have access to only specific modules on the solution.
Light User:
A Light User has limited access to the LeanLinking solution. Light Users only have access to the pages Contacts, Reviews, NCR and Compliance. A Light User can only make registrations (meaning registering reviews, NCRs and Compliance registrations), and can only see their own registrations and communication on these. A Light User cannot see other Users' registrations – except for the comments made on their own registrations.
