Custom drop-down menus can be used when building Compliance templates on LeanLinking.


How do I create a new custom drop-down menu?

  1. Go to the Custom Dropdown page in the Admin module.
  2. Click the Create button.
  3. Enter an appropriate title (this title will not be visible when filling in a compliance registration).
  4. Add each answering option to the drop-down menu. You can add extra options by clicking the Add option button. Clicking and dragging the arrow icon allows you to re-order options.
  5. Click the Create button.


Note: You can delete an option by clicking the red bin icon next to it. You can always edit a custom drop-down menu by clicking a custom drop-down on the overview. Keep in mind that editing a custom drop-down will change the results on compliance registrations made with this drop-down menu on it.

How do I delete a custom drop-down menu?

  1. Go to the Custom Dropdown page in the Admin module.
  2. Select the custom drop-down menus you want to delete by checking the boxes in the left-most column on the overview.
  3. Click the Delete button.

Keep in mind that custom drop-downs that are in use on a compliance template cannot be deleted.



How do I use my new custom drop-down menu on a Compliance template?

  1. Go to the Compliance section in the Admin module and create a new compliance template using the Template Builder, or edit an existing compliance template from the Template Overview.
  2. To insert the custom drop-down menu in the Entity field select the list icon next to the field as shown below.
  3. To insert the custom drop-down menu as an answer type in the questions section of the template select Custom Drop-Down from the Choose type box as shown below. A new field will appear where you can choose which of your custom drop-down menus you want to use. Select the appropriate one.
  4. When you are done with the rest of the template click the Create or Save button at the bottom.
